![]() Oversee student applications and program content in the GoAbroad portal using Terra Dotta study abroad software update and ensure accuracy and completion of applications create, vet, and update the content of program listings for programs and monitor and update relevant system data such as itinerary details, student information, material submissions, etc.In collaboration with the Director, assist students going to study abroad with their visa and health & safety issues.Liaise with Dean's offices, Academic Advising, student support services offices, and other New School divisions to support student success during study abroad experiences.Maintain an active weekly schedule to advise students regarding study abroad programs including program details, eligibility, costs/budgeting, travel/logistics, and other topics provide individualized support for students during all stages from recruitment to application and pre-departure to re-entry.The primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: The New School is strongly committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace and particularly seeks applications from members of underrepresented groups, as well as candidates who share this commitment. This is a hybrid, part-time Student Assistant Specialist position. The incumbent will have the opportunity to gain insight and professional experience into the field of international education and contribute to the success of New School students to achieve rewarding study abroad experiences that align with their academic, personal, and professional goals. The Graduate Assistant supports all aspects of The New School's study abroad programs, which involves working closely with various offices and staff across The New School. The Graduate Assistant for Study Abroad is a member of the Education Abroad and Global Engagement office (Study Abroad) within Global Engagement and International Support Services (GEISS) at The New School and reports to the Director for Education Abroad & Global Engagement. ![]()
